Ever wondered why time speeds up as we get older whereas our memories of childhood are of endless summers? It is said that this could be due in part to the fact that a year of a childs life equals much more time of their overall existence and hence seems longer, secondly when we are young we are learning countless new experiences and skills that leave lasting impressions on our memories. Where as when we start shuffling along the mortal coil the daily drudge becomes more familiar and life falls into the 'cosy slippers' of routine therefore we experience less memorable or new events making it seem like childhood lasted longer.

So to the lesson to slow the tick and tock of life down is go on holiday and take in new experiences, make more memories, it doesn't mean having to bungee or swim with a shark, you can still relax and enjoy!
